What it means

This code appears on LG dishwashers with a digital display and means the dishwasher did not receive the required amount of water within the set time at the start of the cycle. Most often the cause is outside the machine: a partly closed tap, low water pressure, a kinked hose or a clogged inlet filter. • The supply tap for the dishwasher is closed or not fully open.
• Low water pressure in the house or an empty roof tank.
• The inlet hose is kinked or squashed behind the dishwasher or under the sink.
• The mesh inlet filter at the hose end is clogged with sand or scale.
• Failed water inlet valve.
• A fault in the flow meter or level sensor, or in the main board, which is less common.

How to diagnose5

1. Unplug the dishwasher, open the supply tap fully, and confirm the kitchen has good water pressure.
2. Check the full length of the inlet hose and make sure it is not kinked under the sink or behind the unit.
3. Turn off the tap, disconnect the hose over a tray and clean the mesh filter at its end if there is one.
4. Reconnect and run a short cycle; if water enters normally, the problem was the supply or the filter.
5. If the code returns with good pressure, a technician unplugs the dishwasher before opening it and checks the inlet valve and the power reaching it against the manufacturer specification, then the flow meter and board.

2. Clean the inlet filter or replace a damaged hose.
