What it means

The engine computer found the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor signal below its minimum allowed value. This usually means an open signal or supply wire or a short to ground, so the computer cannot estimate the soot load and limits engine power as a precaution.

How to diagnose5

Watch the differential pressure reading on a scan tool; a very low, unchanging value confirms a circuit problem.
Inspect the wiring and connector, especially sections close to the exhaust.
Unplug the connector and measure the reference supply and ground against the manufacturer specification.
Check the signal wire for an open circuit or a short to ground.
Check for low-voltage codes on other sensors that share the same supply.

Repair the open or grounded wire and route it away from the exhaust.
Fix the cause of a low reference supply if other sensors are affected.
Replace the DPF pressure sensor if it is proven faulty.
