It means the IPM on the outdoor board, which feeds the compressor directly, detected current above its limit and stopped the compressor at once. The cause can be the IPM itself, the compressor or its wiring, or an overload. The same code can mean something else on other brands.

2. Make sure the outdoor unit is clean and its fan turns.
3. After discharge, a technician checks the compressor wires and plug for looseness or burning.
4. Measure compressor winding resistance and insulation against Samsung specification.
5. Test the IPM per the service manual, and measure pressures and voltage.

1. Wash the condenser and fix a weak outdoor fan.
2. Repair or replace the compressor wires and plug.
3. Correct an overcharge (licensed technician).
4. Replace the outdoor PCB if the IPM is proven faulty.
5. Replace the inverter compressor if its windings are shorted or insulation is weak, with vacuum and a weighed charge.
6. Run the unit long enough in the heat and confirm the code does not return.
