What it means

The engine computer has detected high voltage in the fuel pump power circuit at a time when it should be off. This usually means the relay is stuck on or the supply wire is touching a voltage source, so the pump may keep running after the vehicle is shut off.

Inspect the harness between the relay and pump for contact with other supply wires.
If the vehicle has a fuel pump control module, check its signal and codes.

Clean and dry the fuse box and repair corroded terminals.
Repair the short in the harness and re-insulate the wires.
