What it means

The engine computer (ECU) switches the fuel pump on through a relay or a dedicated fuel pump control module. The computer detected an open or fault in this control circuit, so the pump may not run and fuel may not reach the engine.

Engine cranks normally but does not start.
Sudden stalling while driving.
No pump hum for a few seconds when the key is switched on.
