What it means

This code appears on Electrolux (and AEG) dishwashers, shown on the display as i30, and means the anti-flood system has detected water in the base of the unit. The dishwasher stops the water supply and may run the drain pump continuously until the leak is dealt with. The same number can mean something else on other brands.

How to diagnose5

1. Turn off the supply tap, then unplug the unit.
2. Check the floor in front of and under the unit, and make sure no hand dishwashing liquid was used.
3. Clean the door seal and make sure the dishes do not stop the door closing.
4. A technician unplugs the unit before removing the lower panel, then looks for the water source at the hoses and pumps.
5. The unit is not tilted and the base is not dried to clear the code until the leak source is found and fixed.

How to fix5

1. For foam: after confirming there is no other leak, run a short program without detergent.
2. Clean the door seal, or have the technician replace it if damaged.
3. Tighten the hose connections or replace the damaged hose.
4. Have the technician replace the leaking pump or internal hose.
5. After the repair, dry the base and run a full program while watching the floor.
