This code appears on Electrolux (and AEG) front-load washing machines when the control board detects a problem driving the motor or reading its speed signal. It stands for the motor fault family, which shows as various sub-codes. The cause can be an overload, worn carbon brushes, the speed sensor, the motor or the drive circuit. How to diagnose5

Turn the drum by hand and make sure it moves smoothly without rubbing.
Restart with a short program and a light load, and see whether the code returns.
A technician unplugs the washer before opening it, then checks the brushes, speed sensor and connections against the manufacturer specification.
The technician reads the sub-code from the washer memory where possible to pinpoint the faulty part, then checks the board if the motor is fine.
