What it means

This code appears on electronic Indesit washing machines when the machine runs the drain pump but the water level sensor does not read an empty drum within the set time. The machine stops with water inside and usually with the door locked, and the same number can mean something else on other brands.

2. Put a towel and a shallow tray under the pump filter (usually behind a small cover at the bottom front), then open the filter slowly and drain the water in stages.
3. Remove and clean the filter, and check with a finger that the pump impeller behind it turns freely.
4. Check the drain hose for kinks and make sure the drain pipe is clear.
5. If the code remains, the technician unplugs the machine and tests the pump and the level sensor tube.
