What it means
This code appears on Gree split air conditioners when the control board cannot read the EEPROM memory chip that stores the operating settings, so the unit does not start or stops. Depending on the model the chip is on the indoor or the outdoor board, so check the unit manual. The same code can mean something else on other brands.
