What it means

On Siemens dishwashers this code means the Aquastop leak protection float in the base tray has risen because there is water in it. The unit blocks new water from entering, the drain pump may keep running, and the program will not resume until the cause is fixed. The same number can mean something else on other brands.

Make sure the salt container cap is tight, and clean and inspect the door seal.
Review the detergent used; thick foam may be the cause.
A technician unplugs the unit before removing the lower panel or pulling it out, and traces the water source at connections and pumps.
Only after the source is fixed is the base tray dried and the float checked to return to its place.

Tighten the salt cap and door seal, and use dishwasher detergent only.
For foam: after confirming there is no other leak, run a rinse program without detergent.
Tighten the hose connections or replace the damaged hose.
Have the technician replace the leaking pump or internal hose.
After the repair, dry the base and run a full program while watching the floor to confirm the code does not return.
