This code appears on Fujitsu General split and ducted units on the wired remote or indoor display; older models show it as a number of indicator lamp blinks instead of a number. It means the current sensor on the outdoor board, which measures the current drawn by the compressor, gives an impossible reading or none at all. Without this reading the unit cannot protect the compressor from overcurrent, so it stops it. The same number can mean something different on other brands.
