What it means

The engine computer has detected an electrical fault in the fuel injector drive circuit without assigning it to a specific cylinder. This usually points to something shared by the injectors, such as the power supply, the harness or the driver circuit inside the computer, and it can cause shaking, power loss or hard starting.

Check the injector fuse and power relay, and confirm supply voltage reaches the injector connectors.
Inspect the harness for chafing, burning or corroded connectors, especially near the engine.
Measure each injector's resistance and compare it with the manufacturer specification to find a shorted injector.
Use a scan tool or an oscilloscope to watch the drive signal from the computer.
On direct-injection and diesel engines, do not probe with an ordinary test light, because the injector circuits use high voltage.

How to fix6

Clean corroded connectors and repair damaged wires in the harness.
Replace the blown fuse or faulty relay after finding what caused it to fail.
Repair ground connections or replace a weak battery.
Replace any injector proven to be internally shorted.
Repair or replace the injector driver module or engine computer if its driver circuit is proven faulty, with the required programming.
Clear the codes, then road test and confirm the code does not return.

What is the difference between P0200 and P0201 to P0208?

P0201 to P0208 name the cylinder with the fault, while P0200 means a general circuit fault or a problem in a part shared by the injectors, so diagnosis starts with the power supply, harness and computer.

Can I drive with this code?

Only a short distance and gently if the engine runs smoothly. If there is shaking or misfiring, repair it soon, because incomplete combustion can damage the catalytic converter.

Does this code mean the injectors are clogged?

No. It is an electrical code for the circuit and does not indicate clogged or dirty injectors, so a fuel system cleaner will not fix it.
