What it means
The ABS module has detected a fault in the circuit of the relay that powers the valves in the ABS hydraulic unit. On many systems this relay is inside the ABS module itself. When the code sets, the module disables ABS and usually traction and stability control. Detection conditions vary by manufacturer.

- If power and ground are good and the relay is built in, the fault is most likely inside the module.

- Charge or replace the battery and fix the charging system.
- Replace the blown fuse after confirming there is no short.
- Repair the ground and clean the ABS module connector.
- Replace the external relay if fitted, or have the ABS module repaired by a specialist or replaced and programmed.
- Clear the codes, road test and confirm the code does not return.
