What it means

This code appears on Panasonic inverter split air conditioners and is read from the fault history with the CHECK button. It means the indoor coil sensor saw a very high coil temperature during heating, a sign of high pressure, so the unit reduced or briefly stopped the compressor for protection. It is a protection code and the unit usually resumes on its own; the same number can mean something else on other brands.

The technician checks the coil and fan for dirt and measures the fan motor speed.
The technician compares the coil sensor resistance with the manufacturer table and checks the refrigerant charge if the fault remains.
