2. Unplug the refrigerator and vacuum the visible dust around the rear grille without removing any cover.
3. Plug it back in and listen for the rear fan once the compressor starts.
4. If the code returns, a technician unplugs the refrigerator before removing the rear cover, cleans the condenser and fan, and checks the fan turns freely.
5. The technician checks the fan connector and wiring, compares the supply and signal with the manufacturer specification, then checks the main board.
