With power fully off, nudge the blade with a stick to check it turns freely without rubbing.
Switch off at the breaker before opening any panel; the outdoor unit and its inverter board keep a dangerous charge for a while after switch-off.
The technician checks the motor connector, bearings and blade, and tests the motor and board output using the manufacturer method.
