What it means

Shown as a circle between brackets with the letter A inside, or the words AUTO HOLD or BRAKE HOLD, it is green when the system is holding the car still without you pressing the brake pedal, and may be white when armed but not holding, depending on the make. It is an information light, not a warning, and the hold releases automatically when you press the accelerator. Amber, or a message, means the system is unavailable or faulty.
